Established in 1967, Global Yellow Pages Limited ("GYPL") is the largest publisher of
directories and provider of classified directory advertising
and associated products and services in Singapore. The
company maintains, develops and updates extensive
classified databases of information on businesses.
The Group's principal activities are in the sale of advertising in,
and the preparation and publication of classified directories
that connect businesses to businesses (B2B) and businesses
to consumers (B2C) on 2 key platforms - print and digital.
The Group's principal activities also include in the current
year, those of magazine publishing, and organising of events,
seminars and exhibitions.
The Group's Internet Yellow Pages www.yellowpages.com.sg is the most comprehensive online directory in Singapore and
was ranked as the #1 website in the Business and Finance
category - Business Directories, in the HitWise Singapore
Online Performance awards programme from January 2006 to June 2009.
In FY2009, the Group embarked on its expansion initiative
as an integrated multi-media group under the Yellow Pages
umbrella, encompassing directories, digital, magazines,
exhibitions and events.
Global Magazines was acquired in July 2008 by GYPL to develop its portfolio of magazines, both
in Singapore and the region. Global Magazines is principally
engaged in the publication and sale of advertising space of
2 monthly magazines, Robb Report, an international luxury
lifestyle title and WEALTH, a local business publication for
wealth acquirers and builders.
Founded in 1989, Singapore Information Services Pte
Ltd ("INSIS") was a wholly-owned subsidiary of IE Singapore
Holdings Pte Ltd till its acquisition by GYPL
in March 2009. It plays a central role in helping Singapore-based
enterprises reach out to the international business
community through its various products, which span across
different geographical markets. INSIS is one of Singapore's
leading trade directory publishers, with 14 business-to-business
trade directories to promote Singapore products
and services worldwide. Besides its capabilities in B2B
trade directory publishing, INSIS also runs an online portal www.insis.com engaged in business matching services, and
acts as a marketing agent for overseas exhibitions.
