About Yellow Pages (Singapore) Limited

Established in 1967, Yellow Pages (Singapore) Limited is the largest publisher of directories and provider of classified directory advertising and associated products and services in Singapore. The Company maintains, develops and updates extensive classified databases of information on businesses, the core of which are small and medium-sized enterprises in Singapore.

The Company’s principal activities are in the sale of advertising in, and the preparation and publication of classified directories that connect businesses to businesses (B2B) and businesses to consumers (B2C). The Company also offers related products and services, including on-line products and services, an operator-assisted telephone search service and database marketing services. In addition, the Company publishes and distributes specialized or niche directories and guides.

The Company is also the only publisher awarded the Singapore Land Authority licensing rights to publish the Singapore street directory. The new edition of the directory in February 2007 is now available.

Yellow Pages (Singapore) Limited was listed on the SGX-ST on 9 December 2004.

Brief Overview of History of Yellow Pages Singapore

9 December 2004 Yellow Pages Singapore listed on SGX-ST.
30 June 2003 Yellow Pages (Singapore) Pte Ltd, a company equally owned by JP Morgan Partners Asia and CVC Asia Pacific, two leading private equity firms in Asia, acquired certain businesses, assets and liabilities of SingTel Yellow Pages Pte Ltd at $220 million (with an additional $6 million paid to SingTel Yellow Pages Pte Ltd as working capital adjustments relating to the acquisition).
23 May 2003 Yellow Pages (Singapore) Pte Ltd was incorporated.
1998 Integrated Information Pte Ltd was renamed SingTel Yellow Pages Pte Ltd (now known as “SingTel Interactive Pte Ltd”).
1985 General Telephone Directory Company (Singapore) Private Limited was renamed Integrated Information Pte Ltd after Telecommunications Authority of Singapore (TAS) fully acquired the company.
1975

A joint venture company was incorporated under the name of General Telephone Directory Company (Singapore) Private Limited owned as to 60% by Telecommunications Authority of Singapore (TAS) and 40% by General Telephone Directory Co. (GTDC).

1974 Telecommunications Authority of Singapore (TAS) and General Telephone Directory Company (Singapore) Private Limited (GTDC) signed a joint venture agreement to incorporate a company to acquire the business of GTDC’s Singapore branch.


ISO Certification

Yellow Pages (Singapore) Limited  has been conferred the ISO 9000 series certification for quality management system by SGS United Kingdom Limited, Systems and Services Certification, since 3 March 1999. This was renewed to meet the requirements of the ISO 9001:2000 Standards on 29 July 2003.
